El Lagarín & Las Grajas
Better known as ‘The sleeping pregnant woman’ (La Mujer Dormida). These peaks (1067 m & 1041 m) guard the peace of El Jaral.
Zahara de la Sierra
One of Spain’s most beautiful ‘Pueblos Blancos’. Magically lit up in the distance at night.
Zahara reservoir
Intensely coloured by its limestone bed, surrounded by ancient olive groves and historic Roman roads.
Algodonales
A paragliding mecca. From the terrace you see paragliders soaring every day.
Sierra del Pinar (1654 m)
The highest point of Cádiz and the heart of Grazalema Natural Park, home to prehistoric Pinsapo firs.
Margarita massif (1554 m)
Guardian of the Guadalete valley and a photogenic mountain to daydream by.
Nature & wildlife
Sit still and you will see the most.
Griffon vultures
Kings of the sky with a wingspan of up to 3 metres. These mountains are their reserve.
Ocellated lizard & wall gecko
Our useful mini dragons: they sunbathe on the walls and love to eat mosquitoes.
Carpenter bees & swallowtails
Black carpenter bees pollinate while beautiful butterflies flutter through the garden.

Our four-legged friends are part of the family.

Our polite gentleman cat who loves to greet guests.

Lion-coloured and a bit wilder, but he knows his principles.
Simon
Maine Coon with a plumed tail: a true cuddler and mouse hunter.
Shanine
Affectionate and fond of people. She simply ‘arrived’ at the house.
Pablo
Big but remarkably calm. He doesn’t roam the garden, but is full of energy outside the gate.
